On the evening of Saturday August 29, 2020 Kathy, Sarah, Kate and Jackson were involved in a very serious car accident. While they were in route to a Celebration of life event for another family member a driver in a cargo van ran through a stop sign going what investigators believe was at least 40 miles per hour with no brakes initiated prior to impact, ramming into their vehicle sending it spinning out of control causing the back end to get hit as well. All 4 of them were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals with what the CHP believed may be moderate to severe injuries.
