Kate was diagnosed with CD-20+ B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) this past week and has already begun treatment. She will be staying at Hackensack Meridian Hospital for the next 3-4 weeks, and then treatment will continue, requiring one week a month in the hospital for the next 8 months. They are planning for periodic transfusions to keep her red blood cell and platelet levels stable and are doing genetic testing to help determine next steps in her treatment.

So many of their friends and family have reached out to them asking for ways they can help! We started this for them as a way to begin to reduce the financial burden of the medical expenses expected over this next year.
