Our world was turned upside down in April when Ilana, the heart and soul of our family, was diagnosed with two types of cancer. One is Thyroid Papillary Cancer, and the other is something so rare and aggressive—Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma (EHE)—which has ravaged her liver. This incredible, vibrant woman, full of love and life, now faces the fight of her life.

Ilana isn’t just battling for herself. She is the devoted mother to Jeffrey (15) and Rebecca (11), who need their mom more than ever. She’s the loving partner to George, who has been her steady support, but even he can’t carry this weight alone. Our family is holding each other close, but we can’t do this by ourselves. Ilana will need a liver transplant due to the dozens of lesions caused by EHE, and while the surgery is covered by insurance, the burden of everything else is overwhelming.

She’s already been through so much. In May, Ilana bravely underwent surgery to remove the Thyroid Cancer, and after extensive testing, we were relieved to learn no further treatment was needed for that. But the battle is far from over, and the EHE diagnosis looms heavy over her and our family.

Watching her struggle breaks our hearts, especially knowing how much her children, Jeffrey and Rebecca, rely on her. Ilana is fighting for her life, but we don’t want her to do it alone. We’re reaching out in the hope that you can help ease some of the heavy financial burden, from the medical-related costs and travel expenses to her family's everyday needs during this difficult time.
