July 30th update: Justin has surgery scheduled for Monday, his medical team feels the right decision is to amputate from below the knee due to the extent of his injury. He will be moving to North Carolina shortly after surgery to begin his rehab. Thank you for all the thoughts, prayers and donations. He still has a long road ahead of him.
On June 30th, Justin was in a terrible street bike accident that resulted in a devastating foot injury and multiple fractures, including a shattered tibia and fibula. He has already undergone one emergency surgery to attempt to save the foot and faces many more in the months to come. His recovery will be long, painful, and uncertain. We’re staying hopeful and focused on his healing.
Due to the severity of his injuries, Justin is unable to work and will be facing a prolonged hospital stay followed by extensive physical therapy, occupational therapy and rehabilitation. In addition to mounting medical bills, he is now dealing with the overwhelming stress of how to cover his living expenses during this time.
We are raising funds to help cover:
* Medical bills not covered by insurance
* Physical/occupational therapy and mobility aids
* Living expenses during his recovery
* Travel costs to get him to North Carolina safely for family support and follow-up appointments
If you’re able to donate, we are deeply grateful. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your network. Every share, prayer, and kind word makes a difference.
Thank you for helping us support Justin during this incredibly difficult time. We’re standing by his side every step of the way, and we appreciate you standing with us.
With love and gratitude,
The Pepperling Family
