These past few months have been horrible with the costly ER visits for Snowie and Momma, whom I failed to save, along with Mustachio's illness in my previous posts. Now Junior, who is just under 5 years old, is facing health concerns. I had to take him in December for a dental procedure where he was unexpectedly diagnosed with FIV. He seemed to be recovering fine after the extensive dental procedure. Yesterday, when I woke him from his crate for breakfast, I found him with a bloody mouth and what appeared to be mucus or congealed blood. I think it may be too gross to post a picture here.

The ER vet found a tongue ulcer and a growth in his throat, suspecting cancer or possibly a benign growth, and noted a low platelet count, I think. The vet said that due to the risk of bleeding, she didn't want to perform a biopsy. I feel I should have maybe pushed for one to be sure since we were already there. The vet mentioned a possible autoimmune condition and suggested euthanasia, but I'm not ready for that and honestly, I don't think he is either. I brought him home and he ate very well and had lots of energy after I let him be in my room. Palliative care could be an option if finances are limited and his QOL improves. Seeing the blood was scary but I'm now looking for advice and suggestions. I have to set my ego and pride aside and ask for help. I've started this GoFundMe in order to help with the costs to continue caring for him and the 9 others that are still under my care. I would appreciate any help that will go towards Junior and the other 9 kitties since I put everything on credit. Thank you to all who are able to send whatever help you can.
