Help Support Julie Seger: Steve Seger Memorial

On April 1, 2022, our mom, Julie, abruptly lost her husband, Steve Seger, after a long and difficult battle with lung and heart failure.

 

Steve was a veteran who served in the 82nd Airborne Division and a loving family man. He was not just a husband, but a brother, father, and grandfather. He loved and was loved very much by his grandson, Donovan. He also loved spending time with Julie's grandsons, Alexander and Theodore, and they loved spending time with him whenever they were able.

 

Our mom and Steve met later in life and were married in 2017. Both parents of adult children, they enjoyed spending simple time together at the beach in Ocean City, and, later, when it became more difficult for Steve to travel, simply relaxing in their backyard or spending time with their grandchildren.

 

When Steve's illness and disabilities left him unable to work, he lost his life insurance. Medical bills, end of life costs, and memorial services are goals that feel insurmountable for Julie. With the sudden loss of Steve's financial contributions, Julie has lost over half of her household income. Added to the end of life and memorial costs, remaining in her home and covering her expenses is going to be an enormously difficult challenge for her.
