Support for Julianna and David

Please help support my sister, Julianna, and her husband, David, as they grieve the loss of their sweet baby Holden.

Holden Thomas Krisell was our miracle IVF baby born asleep at 1:12 pm on 4/5/2024 at exactly 36 weeks.

Weighing 6 lbs 9 0z and 19 inches long, he was the perfect combination of his mom and dad. Holden was a strong boy from the start, acing his ultrasounds and OB visits with flying colors. He decided to make an early entrance into the world when my water broke and I was admitted to L&D on 4/3. I labored for nearly 2 days during which time Holden seemed quite cozy in my belly with a happy heartbeat.

Unfortunately, during his delivery they noted shoulder dystocia. It took approximately 3 minutes from delivery of his head to his shoulders and he had an APGAR score of 0. The NICU team rushed to resuscitate him and though he tried his best to come back to us, he never took his first breath earth side.

We are still in shock and disbelief of everything that has happened and there are no words to describe what we are feeling and going through at this moment. We have been shown so much grace, kindness, and compassion from loved ones and strangers alike, and can be reassured in knowing that Holden was showered in overwhelming amounts of love from the beginning, always and forever.
