Judo Bobby - Disability Athlete breaking down the barriers.

Meet Robert " @JudoBobby05 " Girdwood, a dedicated and determined Judo athlete who has been breaking barriers despite living with autism and an intellectual disability.

Bobby has been training tirelessly, showcasing incredible perseverance and skill in the sport. Judo is more than just a passion—it’s an essential part of Bobby's life and growth.

JudoBobby has competed in numerous tournaments, earning recognition for his fierce competition, discipline, skill, care, friendship, camaraderie, and compassion, as well as his #JudoFamily attitude.

Now, he has an incredible opportunity to take his talents to the next level by competing in prestigious Judo events, including:

The European Adaptive Championships in Italy
The Australian National Championships in Queensland
Training opportunities in Japan and Europe
South Australia will host Australia's first Adaptive Judo Championships at the South Pacific Open, with competitors coming from all over the world.
Bobby is determined to bring home the gold, but he needs your help to make it happen!

Competing in these prestigious events and pursuing higher-level training comes at a significant financial cost. This includes travel expenses, accommodation, entry fees, and specialized coaching sessions. With limited access to funding and support, we’re reaching out to our community to help make this dream a reality for Bobby.

Your generous contributions will directly cover:

Travel costs for events in Italy, Queensland, Victoria, Japan, and South Australia (the full events list will be determined by the funding we receive).
Accommodation and entry fees for each competition.
Training opportunities to refine skills, technique, and mental preparation, as well as required support and other expenses.
Your donation will not only support Bobby's journey as an athlete but also help him build confidence, self-discipline, social connections, independence, and personal growth.

Judo has given Bobby a sense of purpose and belonging, helping him overcome challenges every day. With your help, Bobby can continue to grow both in the sport and as an individual.

Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Please consider donating to help Bobby reach new heights in Judo. If you are unable to contribute financially, you can still help by sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and networks.

Thank you for taking the time to read Judo Bobby's story and for considering supporting his journey. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us. Together, we can make Bobby’s dreams a reality. Let’s help him achieve greatness!
