Help Support Joshua Fight Against MRSA
Donation protected
On June 25th, Joshua McLaughlin turned 32 years old. Just two days later, on June 27th, what started as mild flu-like symptoms suddenly turned into a medical emergency. Joshua developed high fevers, severe muscle pain, stiffness, and lost the ability to walk. He was rushed to Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where doctors discovered he was septic due to MRSA bacteremia — a serious and potentially life-threatening bloodstream infection — along with cavity pneumonia.
There is also concern for infective endocarditis, an infection of the heart valves that requires ongoing imaging, monitoring, and prolonged IV antibiotic treatment.
Joshua is currently receiving intensive care, and his road to recovery will be long and challenging. The medical bills, hospital stays, and missed work are creating a heavy financial burden for him and our family.
We are asking for your support — whether it’s a donation to help cover his medical costs and daily needs, or simply sharing this page with others who might be able to help. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to helping Joshua heal and focus on getting better.
Should we exceed our fundraising goal, any additional funds will be put toward organizing a 2026 benefit to raise awareness and support for MRSA patients and research. I plan to personally lead this effort and welcome anyone who wants to join the cause.
Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your compassion. Our family is deeply grateful for the love and support during this difficult time.
