On September 8, 2025, our family’s lives were forever changed. My brother-in-law, Jose Quintana, was in a devastating car accident. He was life-flighted to UC Davis Trauma Center, where doctors discovered he had severe injuries throughout his body, He will remain in the ICU for several weeks. 

This accident happened only a few weeks after Jose started a new job. Unfortunately, his health insurance has not yet taken effect, leaving him, my sister Heather Koslow, and their three children facing unimaginable medical expenses on top of the emotional and physical challenges ahead.

Despite the pain and uncertainty, Jose is showing incredible strength. His recovery will be long and difficult, and the financial burden will be overwhelming—well beyond what any government assistance can cover.

We are raising funds to help with:

• Immediate medical expenses and ICU care

• Future surgeries and rehabilitation

• Prosthetics and adaptive needs

• Support for Heather, Jose, and their three children during this difficult time
