Hi everyone,
Our family is asking for help for my dad, Jose Luis, as he bravely fights prostate cancer.
Despite going through this incredibly difficult diagnosis, he is still pushing himself to work just to keep up with medical bills and basic living expenses. But the reality is, his body is not allowing him to work the full hours he once could. Because of his limitations, his income has been reduced, and the financial stress has become overwhelming.
He is also struggling with transportation. He needs to travel for important medical appointments at UC Davis Cancer Center and in Reno, but the long drives have become too much for him to handle on his own. Getting him to and from these appointments safely is essential for his treatment and recovery.
The past few years have already been filled with unimaginable loss. Four years ago, we lost my mom due to health complications. Not long after, we lost my brother. These tragedies have taken an emotional and financial toll on our family, and my dad has been doing everything he can to stay strong and keep moving forward.
Now, he is facing one of the toughest battles of his life.
His road to recovery will be long and challenging. It will include surgery, possible many radiation treatments, and time away from work so his body can heal. These are things he needs to get better, but they also mean even more financial strain during an already difficult time.
We want to lift that burden from him so he can focus on fighting this disease, healing, and being here with the people who care for him.
We are asking from the bottom of our hearts for any support you can give. Whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this post, every bit of help makes a difference. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean more to us than words can ever express.
If you are able to give, please know you are not just helping with expenses, you are giving my dad the chance to rest, to heal, and to keep fighting. And if you cannot donate, sharing his story could reach someone who can. From our family to yours, thank you for helping us stand by Jose Luis during the fight of his life.
