-Jonathan and Logan Karman -
Jonny and Logan are in need of lots of prayer and support! I would love if we can in a small way lighten this load for them.
Jonny has been sick over the last month and this last week started to struggle with his vision and awful headaches, he was referred to a same day ophthalmologist who sent him to the ER very concerned with the level of sudden vision loss he was experiencing. Friday evening after lots of scans, bloodwork, and tests the doctors informed them that there was a large mass on Jonny's brain. They got him into surgery right away to place a shunt to relieve some pressure off his brain and prepared to transport him to Seattle for further treatment. As of today (Sunday) he had a procedure to get an idea of what the mass looked like, and to plan a course of action for his big surgery Monday to remove the mass.
There are still a lot of unknowns and will definitely be a long road ahead of hospital stays, appointments etc.
Jonny and Logan certainly never expected to experience something like this before they've even reached their first anniversary but are trusting God's goodness and His plan.
They appreciate all the prayers and support that you can give.
UPDATE:
Jonny update….thanks to everyone who is praying. We know the Lord hears each and every one of them. Today starts a bit of a holding pattern. The surgeon decided to give Jonny’s brain a little more time to “cool off” as he put it. We will be just waiting as we pray for full healing over the weekend. On Sunday they will do another drain trial in hopes that surgery can be avoided. Monday morning will bring another CT Scan and then a decision on no surgery or which surgery they will do. We are seeing improvement in Jonny’s cognition which is wonderful and an answer to prayer. Slowly but surely we know he will improve. Please pray for continued healing and that his brain would begin to drain the fluid itself so we can avoid surgery. Also pray for Logan as she is tired. We are at a week now since their world was turned upside down and it can take its toll. But in it all, I have the privilege of seeing Logan and Jonny trust the Lord and His goodness. They know He has a plan to use this journey they are on for His glory and are holding onto that fact as they walk this road.
