Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my nephew, Jonas, and his amazing parents- two teachers who are currently navigating a tough situation, especially after the welcoming of a new baby this past February.

Just before his 3rd birthday, Jonas was diagnosed with a rare disease called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH). It affects only about 5 in every 1 million children. What started as swelling in his left jaw quickly led to scans, bloodwork, a biopsy, and the discovery of a mass that began affecting his jawbone. While the disease is treatable, a recent PET scan showed other possible areas of concern in his pelvis and stomach, meaning more testing, treatments, and doctor visits ahead.

I’ve created this GoFundMe for Marc and Kara to help cover the growing cost of medical bills. Every bit helps, and we are incredibly grateful for the prayers, support, and love being shown to this strong, lively little guy.
