Help Support Jonah’s Heart Journey

My name is Hannah Resnick and I’m starting this fundraiser in hopes to be able to advocate for Jonah Ray during his heart journey at Texas Children’s Hospital Houston . Between just having him 7 weeks ago(12/3), recovery, his journey, Covid, and regular monthly bills funds are getting more and more scarce. 

Jonah was diagnosed at 22 weeks in-utero with a Chronic Heart Disease called Double Outlet Right Ventricle with pulmonary stenosis(which requires open heart surgery at 4-6months). No one knows what causes CHDs but was more than likely genetic. I had preeclampsia with him, causing him to be born at 30 weeks and one day.  After birth which we miraculously lived from, he instantly had a tube put in his belly button to keep a hole in his heart open to provide oxygen to the rest of his body. He was supposed to just be on that a week after he was born and have a stent placed(in his heart)so he could go home until open heart surgery. We started at Children’s Dallas where this past week he was flighted to Houston due to Children’s not giving me other options for him. We are now at the number one heart center in the nation. When he got here at TCH they told me he had a stomach infection that would have to go before his heart cath.

Jonah just went for abdominal surgery due to the stomach infection causing a telescoping of his small intestine into his large intestine. He will come out with a colostomy bag which hopefully will be removed in 8 weeks. He will be inpatient for at least another 2 months. 

He was born 1lbs 13oz and is now 4lbs 14oz! 

This poor baby has been through so much and I am just trying to be here in town with him incase worse comes to worse and to advocate for him all the way! We got a second chance at TCH and I’m not letting us give up! Jonah has made it too far to run out of options!
