If you’ve ever been in a room with Jon, you know it—his sense of humor lights it up. He’s the kindest, funniest person, the one who makes everyone else feel at ease, even when things are hard. Now, Jon is facing something no one should have to.
Jon is currently battling a cancerous tumor in his heart. Over the past weeks, he has been in and out of Berkshire Medical Center, Baystate Hospital, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Over the next few months Jon will undergo chemotherapy treatments and will then have open-heart surgery to remove the tumor.
As you can imagine, this has turned Jon, Ashley and their daughter Mila’s world upside down. Both will be in and out of work to focus on Jon’s health and recovery. Between mounting medical bills, travel expenses to Boston, and the day-to-day costs of life, the financial strain is significant.
Jon and Ashley have dedicated their lives to helping others, through their work at Hillcrest Educational Centers supporting children with emotional and behavioral challenges, and finding time for volunteering to serve on boards of local non-profit organizations including Habitat for Humanity and the Pediatric Development Center to coaching youth sports that their daughter Mila plays. They touch lives every day in ways that most never realize.
Please keep the Kellogg family in your thoughts—pray, send good energy, or hold hope in whatever way fits your beliefs—that Jon’s surgery is successful and that we are fortunate enough to enjoy his laughter, kindness, and presence for many years to come.
Any donation, share, or message of encouragement means more than words can express. The funds raised will go directly toward medical expenses, travel, and supporting Jon and Ashley while they navigate this incredibly scary and uncertain time.
