Help Support Joline Talbot & Family

Hello, my name is Christine Slauter. My sister-in-law is Joline Talbot. Last week during a mini family getaway, Joline had an accident that dislocated and broke her ankle in 3 places. She was taken to Leominster hospital where they determined she would need surgery. Plot twist, due to the amount of damage and an issue that could increase the risk of infection, they were unable to do the surgery. She has to wait at least two weeks before surgery can be reconsidered.

Joline is home; however, unable to place any weight on her ankle/foot as she risks doing irreparable damage. Joline is out of work until her surgery is done and healing can begin.

Joline was home for one day when her and Rob realized how much assistance she would need. Even with proper equipment, it is unsafe for her to be alone to do common tasks like walking to the bathroom, changing positions, etc. This adds stress to getting kids to and from appointments, school activities, and other tasks. In the best interest of Joline healing and the kids, Rob has decided to take a leave of absence from work and will reconsider once she is able to have surgery.

As many can relate, paperwork for short term leave or paid family leave takes time. It also isn’t full pay. Medical bills also exist on top of regular bills.

We, as a family, have decided to set up this gofundme to help them with all their expenses so they can focus on Joline’s care.
