Help Support John Symonds & Family

Three months ago, the Symonds family was delivered the life-changing news that John was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer. This form of cancer is insidious and has spread to John’s liver and lungs. Unfortunately, the prognosis is also difficult to accept as there is no end or remission to this type of cancer. There is only intensive treatment. Only one week after John’s diagnosis, chemotherapy treatments began, and they will occur every other week until he can no longer tolerate the treatment.

This disease brings much uncertainty, and the shocking diagnosis that John has received has placed a burden on the family. Hopefully, with your help, John and his family can focus on John’s wishes as he reflects on the end of his life and any goals or desires left to fulfill. Funds raised will help accomplish some of these goals and desires and additional costs incurred due to his illness.

John and Kim have also asked for prayers for their children Macayla (14), David (7), and Evan (4). The family has been receiving many cards, prayers, gifts, transportation, grocery gift cards and support from friends and family, and for this, they are truly grateful. These have helped greatly with daily life and balancing the family budget while dealing with unexpected medical bills. Kim is a stay-at-home mom who had planned to go back to work, but that will be on hold as long as John remains ill.
