For years, John Scully marked September 11th in a deeply personal way, gathering friends and running in remembrance of the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the sacrifices made on that day. This year, that tradition continues through his son, Captain Johnny Scully, U.S. Army, who is taking up his father's mantle and leading the run forward. While John's absence will undoubtedly be felt with every mile, the purpose of this run remains what it has always been: to remember and honor the victims of September 11th, to recognize the courage and sacrifice of those who served, and to ensure that we never forget.

John's passing has left a tremendous void for all who knew and loved him, none more so than his beloved family. Along with that immeasurable loss, his wife Trish and the Scully family are navigating the very real financial challenges that can accompany such an unexpected loss.

As we remember John and the impact he made throughout his life, we invite those who feel moved to help support the family he loved so deeply.
