John Bangerter has spent his life caring for others. As a longtime EMT in St. Joseph, he answered calls at all hours, offering emergency care when people needed it most. Today, he serves families through his work at Memorial Park Cemetery, helping them with compassion through life’s most difficult moments.

Now, John needs our help.

On August 15, John will undergo major back surgery. Doctors anticipate a recovery period of up to two months without work, followed by several more months of restricted activity. This sudden inability to work creates a significant financial burden, from mounting medical bills to everyday living expenses as he supports his two children.
