Hello, my name is Jaylyn and my father, John Arviola is currently in the ICU suffering from COVID-19 with severe COVID pneumonia in both lungs. Unfortunately, we have seen little improvement in his health since being hospitalized last week and he was placed on a ventilator to receive the oxygen support needed as his body fights the virus and we are not sure when he will be able to come home. Because of the severity of his condition, the doctors think recovery time could be weeks to months. This has been weighing heavily on me, my brothers, and our entire family.
My father is an exemplary human being who is always able to put a smile on your face no matter the occasion. He is an amazing father, brother, son, uncle, and friend that continually brings joy to everybody that he meets. Dad is the primary financial provider of our family and easily the hardest worker I know. He is always working long hours and bending over backward to provide for our family, without complaint, and always with a positive attitude each day. He has a very kind heart for helping kids, whether it's a holiday toy drive, back to school backpack drive in support of domestic violence victims, or taking time on the weekends volunteering to teach golf to children in order to instill core values of family, safety, friendship, and community. Many weekends, he is outdoors at his favorite golf course playing with his buddies and enjoying the beloved game of golf. We are looking forward to the day when he's back doing what he loves.
Dad is such a bright light in our family and community, and we are all praying for him and awaiting his homecoming. He has always worked hard for us and my brothers and I want to help him in some way. Thank you for your support of my Dad's medical expenses in order to provide some form of financial relief for him as he fights. We are very grateful for all the care, support, love, and prayers from family and friends across the country and our extended family in the Philippines praying for him.
