Help support Joe while his broken neck heals
Donation protected
Hi beautiful beings
I have created this fundraiser to help support my most incredibly kind and loving husband Joe, who, as some of you already know, was involved in a motorcycle accident on Friday October 21st while hosting and leading a motorbike adventure in Kwazulu Natal South Africa and Sani Lesotho.

The fall and subsequent impact (into a tree) resulted in the fracture of his C4 and T3 vertebrae in his neck and upper back. This kind of break has the potential to lead to quadriplegia (or worse) but by the grace of God, Joe was spared that awful fate which we largely contribute to the fact that he was wearing protective neck and body armor.

He was transported to Hilton Life hospital 2 hours away where he underwent X-rays, a CT scan and an MRI to determine the exact extent of his injuries.

The attending neurosurgeon concluded that Joe would not require an invasive surgery to repair the breaks but would have to wear a special brace for 6-8 weeks, followed by more scans with a neurosurgeon in Johannesburg, then hopefully an upgrade to a smaller neck collar and then further treatments/rehabilitation.

Your kind and generous donations will not only help us deal with foreseeable medical expenses and rehab costs that are unfortunately not covered by his health insurance but will assist our family during this time, while he is unable to generate an income. He requires lots of rest and minimal movement.

We would be immensely grateful with any donation, as well as helping us share this fundraiser far and wide - every little bit helps to go a long way.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
In love and gratitude always
