Help Support Joe Schafer’s Recovery

Most of you may not be aware, but my dad, Joe Schafer, was recently involved in a very serious accident. While cleaning up fallen tree branches, a large portion of a branch suddenly shifted. In the process, the chainsaw he was using slipped and went directly into his leg—nearly severing it.

Since then, he has undergone multiple surgeries, including one that lasted nearly 17 hours, as doctors work tirelessly to save his leg. He is currently recovering at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, but we’re hopeful that he’ll be able to return closer to home soon.

He has a long and difficult road to recovery ahead. As many of you know, he is not someone who ever asks for help—but is always the first to lend a hand. We are now asking on his behalf. The funds raised will help offset the substantial medical expenses and ongoing recovery costs, allowing him to focus on healing rather than the financial burden.
