For the past 11 years, I’ve been running this page as my full-time job—sharing scores, stories, and highlighting local athletes in our community.

One question I get a lot is whether I make money from it. The honest answer is: not really. There have been a few dollars here and there through the site, I have freelanced here and there as well while doing the site, but nothing close to a steady income. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have a supportive family that’s allowed me to keep this going.

Over the years, I’ve thought about different ways to monetize it sure. I’ve never liked the idea of paywalls—I want everything I post to stay accessible to everyone. Sponsorships are tricky too, because I never want it to feel like I’m favoring one business or voice over another.

So I wanted to try something simple instead.

I’m going to put up a GoFundMe for the next week for anyone who’s asked how they can support the page. There’s absolutely no pressure at all—this will always be something I do regardless.

Thanks for the support through the years, and I'll be here supporting the local student-athletes as long as I'm able to.
