Hello! Thank you for visiting my fundraiser page! This fundraiser campaign was created to help support two aspiring Christian servants make it through their next semester in seminary.
Jimmie and I are roommates at DTS that share a similar calling.
Jimmie and I met at DTS in 2021. Jimmie is a hardworking international student from Shanghai, who translates Christian books, liturgies, and Biblical texts into Chinese that have never been translated before. I was surprised at how dedicated he was in his translation efforts. Jimmie's goals are to devote himself entirely to advancing the Christian cause in China, especially the building up of local churches and Christian communities - his efforts are badly needed.
I myself, Phill, am working for the Northwest Community Center in Dallas. The NCC seeks to provide aid to refugees, as a part of the Northwest Bible Church's outreach program. Most of my time at the NCC is as an educational coach helping children get up to par in school. Additionally, I teach Biblical languages for pastors and Church members, and I intern and volunteer for the Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts. My long-term future goals for ministry are primarily missions and orphan-care.
Both Jimmie and myself are attending DTS in hopes of preparing ourselves for what is to come. Supporting oneself in seminary is not an easy task, so any amount you would like to gift to us means a lot to us.
