Our seven-year-old son, Jett, has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma, a form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Everything changed almost instantly. What began as pain in a lymph node turned into a 13-day hospitalization filled with scans, lab work, and biopsies as doctors worked to find answers.
After that hospital stay, we were home for about a week before Jett had to undergo several important procedures. He had a surgical port placement, a bone marrow biopsy, and a spinal tap where chemo was injected directly into his spinal fluid. Shortly after those procedures, he began his treatment plan.
His treatment plan is intense:
This means many long hospital stays, frequent admissions, and constant trips back and forth. It will be a difficult road physically and emotionally for Jett, and it will challenge our family as we balance his care, support his two sisters, and try to manage work and daily responsibilities.
Asking for help is not something we normally do, but we can’t ignore the reality that the coming months will be extremely tough. Between lots of time away from work, travel costs, hospital stays, and trying to be fully present for all three of our children, we know we will need support.
So many people have asked how they can help, and we are incredibly grateful for every message, prayer, and offer of support. We created this GoFundMe as a way for friends, family, and our community to support us as we navigate the months ahead.
Your support will help cover:
• Fuel and travel for ongoing trips to OU Children’s Hospital
• Meals and daily needs during long treatment stays
• Medical expenses
• Loss of income during the months we need to be away from work, so we can keep everything stable at home for our daughters, without having to worry about leaving Jett’s side.
• Support for our two girls so their routines and needs remain a priority
• Comfort items to help Jett cope and recover during treatment
Every donation, prayer, message, and share means more than we can express. Even if you can’t give financially, simply keeping Jett in your thoughts or sharing his story truly helps our family.
Jett is an incredibly tough little boy, and we will be with him every step of the way throughout these next several months of treatment. Thank you for surrounding our family with love and support.
