Cancer strikes again. In 2017, Jessie— mother of three (ages 12,10, and 8), wife of Justin, friend to all, general bad-ass— was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After a double mastectomy, chemo, and radiation over the year that followed, Jessie fought tremendously— and with good humour, I might add— and won. 


Just before Christmas this year, after the year from hell that is COVID 19, Jessie went to get an emergency CT scan following some dizzy spells. The scan revealed that the cancer had come back, metastisized, and spread. Currently undergoing radiation, Jessie has another battle ahead with more treatment, and more chemo, having found the cancer in her brain, lungs, liver, and bones. 


This has been a difficult year for many. As a survivor myself, I cannot imagine having to fight this fight during a global pandemic.
