In early August, a simple hug changed these last few months of our sister Jessica’s life in a very big way. It was through this simple hug she felt the lump in her breast. After a couple doctors visits and a long few weeks, Jessica got the news no one wants to hear, you have breast cancer!
As many of you who have had the opportunity to know Jessica, you realize she is a very special person, she is very hardworking and dedicated to whatever she sets her mind to. You can’t help but love her big personality and infectious smile, and guaranteed she will induce you with her deep belly laughter, the kind of laughing that is life’s best medicine. Well, now a lot of that has now been replaced with major anxiety, stress and worries about her journey ahead.
We all know Jessica is fiercely dedicated to her friends, family and community and has given so much to everyone for so many years, let’s now give back to her in all ways possible as she takes on one of life’s biggest challenges, battling cancer. It’s so important for Jessica to have resources for this healing, so she does not have to stress or worry about work and finances and then she can focus on this journey.
So we are asking for donations at this time to offset costs that are mounting. Having already been off work for 6 weeks due to illness and so many doctors appointments and then disability most likely not starting until her mastectomy date November 3rd, there has already been alot of pressure on Jessica to make ends meet. We are uncertain of how long this whole process will take and what exact treatments she will choose but right now we are planning out a 3-6 month window which we will reevaluate as needed.
We want to thank you all in advance for all your able to do and help with. Your kindness, love and support are more than appreciated!
Much love from all the siblings- Sarah, Jessica, Michael, Dane & Charity
