Help Support Jessica and Anthony's Medical Needs

Jessica and Anthony are a young family with two young boys, ages 2.5 (Archer) and 3.5. (Reeve) Jessica is also 7 and a half months pregnant and is scheduled to have brain surgery in less than a month and is two weeks away from loosing housing. Up until two months ago, Jessica, Anthony and their boys were homeless after losing their apartment due to medical issues that arose with Jessica while pregnant with her first born. She developed postpartum cardiovascular myopathy, trigeminal neuralgia and idiopathic intercranial hypertension. She has been unable to work due to seizures and is unable to be alone with her children due to her seizures. Her fiancé, Anthony, had to quit his job to take care of her and their children, causing an eviction which led to their homelessness.

They are in temporary housing which was paid for by the County for 3 months; however, starting February 1st, rent will no longer be supplemented, and they will again be facing homelessness two weeks prior to Jessica's brain surgery.

Jessica’s brain surgery is scheduled for February 16th at UW Hospital and her baby is due March 25th. She will be in the hospital for three weeks following her brain surgery to remove fluid from her brain and insert a permanent shunt to keep the fluid from building up. Following three weeks in the hospital, Jessica will need to relearn how to walk, talk and other activities of daily living. With so many medial challenges and the likelihood of being homeless in a few weeks, Jessica and Anthony have run into every hurdle and obstacle there is to seek additional support to stay housed. Anthony is very motivated to work and support his family and anticipates being able to do so following the birth of their daughter in March; however, until then, his ability to do anything other than care for Jessica and the boys is very limited. They also do not have transportation which also limits their options.

With medical bills, prescriptions, follow-up, Jessica and Anthony have not been able to make ends meet and need our support.
