Hello, my name is Alex Arroyo, and I'm creating this fundraiser for our beloved friend Jennifer and her family, who have become like family to us. Over the past few years, Jennifer, her husband Neal, and their daughter Lana have touched our lives deeply. Our daughters, Lana and Sofia, have bonded as travel softball teammates over three years, and those weekends spent at the fields have solidified a friendship that feels truly special.
Jennifer exemplifies kindness and support, always putting others before herself. Recently, however, their family faced devastating news—Jennifer has been diagnosed with Stage IV uterine and cervical cancer, which has regrettably spread to her shoulder. This news has turned their world upside down.
Jennifer will start an aggressive treatment plan involving chemotherapy every three weeks for six cycles. After the third treatment, doctors will rescan to assess whether radiation, surgery, or both will be necessary based on the tumors' response. While Jennifer bravely focuses on this fight, Neal is doing everything he can to support his wife and their daughter. Despite his strength, it’s important to recognize that cancer impacts every aspect of life.
Since March, Jennifer has been unable to work, and the family has relied on their savings to make ends meet. With mounting medical bills and living expenses, those savings are quickly depleting. Asking for help is a challenge, and Neal shared with me how difficult it was to reach out. However, they truly need the community's support right now.
Our goal is clear: we want to alleviate some of the financial burden so Jennifer can concentrate on her healing, and Neal can be right by her side.
The funds raised will help cover:
- Medical expenses and treatments
- Travel to appointments
- Household bills and daily expenses
- Support for their family during Jennifer’s treatment
Neal's biggest hope is to ensure Lana can graduate and complete her travel softball season while they navigate this challenging journey together. Jennifer and Neal have always been there for others; now it’s our turn to stand by them.
If you can contribute, any donation—large or small—would mean the world. If you cannot donate at this time, sharing this page and keeping Jennifer and her family in your thoughts and prayers would be immensely appreciated.
Thank you for surrounding this incredible family with love, strength, and support as they tackle the fight of their lives.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Alex Arroyo
