Hi, my name is Hannah, and I’m organizing this fundraiser for our dear family friend Jennifer Scarlett.

If you’ve ever met Jennifer (or “J” as so many lovingly call her), you know that she shines a light wherever she goes. Her kindness, laughter, and gentle spirit have touched countless lives — whether she was serving others in the restaurant industry for years or pouring her heart into caring for a precious little girl with special needs. Jen gives so much of herself to everyone around her. Now, it’s our turn to give back.

Recently, Jen received a devastating diagnosis: clear cell renal cell carcinoma, grade 3 — a form of kidney cancer that has continued to grow and requires ongoing treatment. Because she doesn’t have health insurance, Jen faced incredible challenges even finding a doctor willing to perform her surgery. Through determination and prayer, she was finally able to have one of her kidneys removed, and now her doctors are discussing immunotherapy as the next step in her fight.

Jen has spent her life working hard and caring for others, often in jobs that offered little stability or support. The financial burden of cancer treatment, travel, and time away from work will be heavy — but together, we can help lift some of that weight.

Jen is a woman of quiet strength and deep faith. Even now, she is choosing hope and trusting that God will meet her in this battle. We believe He will — and that He will use all of us to remind her that she is not walking this path alone.
