Our friend Jen is hilarious, intelligent, beautiful, accomplished, and definitely deserves better than cancer. We all deserve better than cancer. Unfortunately that’s not the case for Jen, who not only lost her mom to cancer (ovarian), but who was then diagnosed herself (breast).
She’s gone through so many shitty treatments: Chemotherapies, immunotherapies, surgeries, hyperbarics, radiation, etc., but her cancer is stubborn and it just won’t take the hint. She’s been dealing with stage IV which brings with it a lot of experimenting, treatment, uncertainty, fatigue, and pivoting.
Jen’s an RN and has had to balance all of this (which is more than a full time job in and of itself) but has also had to continue working in order to maintain the benefits to continue care.
Jen doesn’t know we’re starting this, but she deserves to have an extra cushion to lean on so she doesn’t have to stress about the little things or can take time off when she needs to without the worry of expenses. She deserves to have as much comfort as possible during this really challenging, shitty, frustrating, and scary time, and if you have anything to spare, or are looking for a place to donate to for this Breast Cancer Awareness month, please consider sending your support this way.
