Help Support Jelly Beans Journey To Recovery

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I am reaching out to share the story of Jelly Bean, our beloved 6 month old beautiful Blue American Bully puppy. She has already brought endless joy and love to our lives. However, over the past month, we have watched her decline and struggle with serious health issues that have left us devastated.

Despite our diligent efforts with her primary veterinarians, we have faced many challenges in determining the underlying cause of her symptoms, particularly concerning her liver function. The extensive blood work, lab tests, and consultations have taken a significant toll on our finances, but our commitment to her health remained strong.

Two days ago Jelly Bean's condition worsened, we rushed her to a speciality hospital recommended to us, Blue Pearl Animal Hospital. They conducted their own tests and determined that she needed an immediate blood transfusion, ultrasound, X-ray, fluids, and an overnight stay, leading to a staggering cost of $6,500. This expense had exhausted our financial resources, splitting the cost between 4 different credit cards

To provide Jelly Bean with the best possible care, she was moved this morning, where she will be staying, to critical care in Charleston Veterinary Referral Center (CRVC) , where she is seeing an internal specialist who is working diligently to diagnose her issues. They believe they have narrowed it down to a possible liver shunt or liver shunts. They recommended a full blood transfusion and frozen plasma and a few nights stay. Unfortunately, we incurred an additional $7,000 in expenses paid through a loan taken out for this diagnosis and care.

Looking ahead, we fear that her treatment may require further expenses ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 for a CT scan and potentially life-saving liver shunt surgery.

Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly to Jelly Bean’s medical expenses, bringing her one step closer to recovery. She has become a cherished part of the family, and we are desperate to see her return home to her playful self. We are truly grateful for any assistance during this challenging time.
