Help Support Jeff Larnerd's Road To Recovery

Everyone who knows Jeff Larnerd loves Jeff Larnerd! He is a loving father, grandfather, friend, a true outdoorsman, and musician. On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, Jeff suffered a massive heart attack that nearly took his life. A widow-maker's heart attack. This type of heart attack has a very low survival rate and Jeff was extremely critical for the first 48 hours. Jeff survived those first 48 hours and today his heart is pumping on its own. His heart has been repaired and no longer requires assistance from any of the multiple machines that were keeping him alive. Unfortunately, because Jeff coded four times and suffered oxygen loss to his brain, his neurological state has been altered.
Jeff is awake but still hospitalized. Jeff will require extensive rehabilitation so he can resume walking, talking, eating and functioning like he used to before this attack. When Jeff is discharged from the hospital, he will be sent to an acute rehabilitation center for 21 days for extensive rehabilitation. After he leaves that facility, Jeff will require 24-hour in-home care and outpatient rehabilitation for several months. At this time, Jeff's neurological team is estimating that he will need at least a full year to recover.
We are finding out the hard way, Jeff's health insurance will not cover the cost of the 24-hour in-home care nor will they cover the full cost of the outpatient therapy he will need.
Jeff's daughter, Alyssa, is handling all medical decisions for her father and his recovery. This is taking a toll on her mentally, emotionally and physically. Alyssa is expecting her second child, Jeff's second grandchild. Asking for help is never easy. Jeff may not like that we are asking, however, we have no other choice. The money raised will help Alyssa pay for Jeff's in-home care and outpatient rehabilitation.
Jeff is loved by so many and it is going to take a village to get him back to his old self again. Back to enjoying all the things he loved most in life...camping, fishing, playing the guitar, spending time with his family, friends and his grandson!
We are asking with a very humble heart, if you are able, please donate so that Alyssa can pay for her Dad's home care needs and keep his road to recovery alive.
Please help us give Jeff every opportunity to make a full recovery and start living again!
