Just when the Cade family thought they were beginning to see the light after an incredibly difficult past year, they’ve been hit with another devastating setback.
After bravely fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Jeff officially entered remission on February 24, 2026. Their family was finally starting to breathe again after months of chemotherapy, radiation, appointments, and uncertainty.
But on the evening of May 5th, Jeff was rushed to Stratford General Hospital with severe abdominal pain and was diagnosed with appendicitis. What was expected to be a routine surgery on May 6th quickly became much more serious when doctors discovered that his appendix had perforated. The surgery became far more complicated than anticipated, lasting over two hours.
Since then, Jeff’s recovery has been anything but easy. He is currently on oxygen and experiencing ongoing complications with his heart, including episodes of AFib causing his heart rate to spike dangerously high within seconds. His medical team is working hard to stabilize him with strong medications and steroids, but what was originally expected to be a short 2-day hospital stay has now turned into an extended hospitalization with no clear timeline for recovery.
As many know, Krista has already been carrying so much — working part-time while also caring for Jeff throughout his cancer treatments and raising their two young boys, Aiden (5) and Colton (3). While Krista worked, Jeff stayed home with the boys. Now, with Jeff hospitalized, Krista is unable to work as she balances caring for the children and being by Jeff’s side at the hospital.
The emotional, physical, and financial strain on this family is overwhelming, and they need their community now more than ever. We are asking for help to ease some of the burden — whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing their story.
Every contribution will go toward helping the Cade family with:
• Household bills and necessities
• Food and travel expenses
• Childcare support
• Lost income during Jeff’s recovery
• Ongoing medical-related costs
Jeff and Krista have always been the kind of people who show up for others without hesitation. Now it’s our turn to show up for them.
Please continue keeping Jeff, Krista, Aiden, and Colton in your thoughts and prayers as they face yet another incredibly difficult chapter. ❤️
August 2025:
Our dear friends, Jeff and Krista Cade, are facing an incredibly difficult journey. Jeff was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and is now undergoing chemotherapy then radiation treatments.
Jeff and Krista are the proud parents of two sweet little boys — Aiden (4) and Colton (almost 3). As Jeff focuses on fighting this battle, he is unable to work and will be off for the unforeseeable future. Krista is doing her best to keep working, all while managing childcare, supporting Jeff through treatment, and holding their family together.
This GoFundMe has been set up to help relieve some of the financial burden during this challenging time. Donations will go directly toward:
- Travel costs to and from appointments
- Food expenses while away for treatment
- Childcare for Aiden and Colton
- Household needs and other necessities while Jeff is unable to work
The Cade family is strong, but they shouldn’t have to face this alone. Any amount, big or small, will make a difference and help lift some of the weight off their shoulders.
If you’re not able to donate, sharing this page and keeping Jeff, Krista, Aiden, and Colton in your prayers means the world.
Thank you for standing beside the Cades with love and support as they navigate this journey. ❤️
