After much convincing, I have created this GoFundMe for our friend Jeanette. Early morning, the day after Thanksgiving, the Birks family lost Jeff. Obviously, this unimaginable loss has left Jeanette with a temporary financial strain while she gets things situated. It is my goal to take some stress off of her plate and to ensure we keep her in the beautiful dream home Jeff put them in. Ideally, she wants to remain in the home she spent so much time with him since he retired, the one where all of her adult children could come back to, where his grandsons come to play, where he laid carpet in the living room so his newest granddaughter would be safe when coming over as Jeanette watched her. The idea of going somewhere with no memories of him is a very real fear for her.
