Jay was diagnosed with myelofibrosis, several years ago. Unfortunately, in September it was discovered that the cancer has mutated to leukemia, He has been taking Chemo pills, but requires more aggressive treatment, which includes a Stem Cell Transplant. Thankfully, the search for a donor did not take long, as Jay’s son Brendan is a perfect match! In mid-January, Jay will start Chemoradiotherapy (chemo and radiation) and then a Stem Cell Transplant.
Jay will need to be off work for an extended period (which is projected to be anywhere between 6 months to a year). This, along with cost of living and travel costs to appointments in Toronto, will put significant financial strain on Jay. We are asking if friends and family can provide any assistance via monetary donations to assist in covering these costs. Every dollar is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
