Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out on behalf of our friend, hard-working family man, father, and our brother — Jaxon — who is currently facing an unexpected and serious medical emergency.

Just a few days ago, Jaxon was hospitalized after experiencing sudden and severe shortness of breath. What doctors initially thought would be a short 1–2 day stay quickly turned into something much more serious. Jaxon was diagnosed with a pneumothorax — a collapsed lung — and has been hospitalized ever since and has been connected to a chest tube to help re-expand his lung and relieve pressure.

Since his admission, Jaxon has met with several specialists who have diagnosed him with an underlying chronic lung condition — something he will likely have to manage for the rest of his life. While there's hope that it can be controlled with proper treatment, the road ahead includes more days in the hospital and a slow recovery that will require him to avoid physical activity for the foreseeable future.

Jaxon and his partner are proud parents to six young children, and being the sole provider for their family, his income is critical in supporting their household. His work is physically demanding — and right now, he simply can’t do it.
