It is with a very heavy heart I've had to create this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend and incredibly strong warrior Mama, Danielle Prothro and her beautiful and incredibly strong baby boy Jaustin.

My name is Danielle Prothro, a 26 year old single mother of 2, Ryleigh and Jaustin Prothro.

On October 23, 2023 my 5 year old baby boy Jaustin was admitted to Children's Hospital Los Angeles, due to a rapid decline in mobility and energy. It started with him sleeping all day at school, telling me he was very tired and could barely walk. Severe pain grew within his legs which caused him to stop walking all together. On October 27, 2023 Jaustin, my five year old son, was diagnosed with ACCUTE Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

I am completely shocked and heartbroken by this diagnosis.

Since October 23, 2023 my son Jaustin has remained admitted to CHLA. Jaustin has been placed on a 3 year and 6 month treatment plan of chemo therapy 2 times a week.

Jaustin is currently experiencing pneumonia, high fevers, and enlarged intestines. My baby is so strong and he doesn't even realize it yet.

Since his diagnosis on October 27, 2023 I've had to dis enroll him from school, he now needs a wheel chair to move around, he's become immune compromised, and has been in complete isolation from everyone who dearly loves him.

As Jaustin's mother, my heart is shattered, but also filled with hope for my baby's healing. Being a single parent during this time has severely taken a toll on our everyday life at home. I have to take care of Jaustin's 6 year old sister, my daughter Ryleigh. I drop her off, and pick her up from school daily, and head straight back to CHLA after dropping her off with my mother. This hasn't been easy on Ryleigh, she is at home with my mom, always missing her mommy and brother dearly, constantly asking when he'll be able to come home.

This road has been so tough, and it seems to only be the beginning.We have had so many sleepless nights, bad news, and countless tears shed. I am calling on you, my village of supporters to help me, help Jaustin in this fight against this horrible monster of a disease called cancer. Funds raised will contribute towards Jaustin's medical expenses, ensuring he receives the absolute best care and treatment available. Additionally, this campaign aims to support his family with any associated costs, allowing us to focus on Jaustin's well being without the added stress of financial strain.
