Even if you have not had the chance to meet her personally, Jasmine has been a deeply valued part of the school community for the past two years at RHA. For those who have had the privilege of working alongside Jasmine, you’ll know exactly what I mean when I say she is one of the kindest, most gentle and most giving people you could ever meet. There has never been a single day where Jasmine hasn’t shown up fully, wholeheartedly, and ready to give everything she has to the children. She never says no, she never hesitates, she just pours love and patience into everything she does.
Jasmine goes above and beyond in ways that most people will never fully see. The patience she has, the calm she brings, and the way she instinctively understands what a child needs is something incredibly special. She has supported some of the most vulnerable learners in my class with such compassion that it has genuinely changed their experience of school and their sense of belonging. That kind of impact lasts.
Recently, Jasmine received the devastating news that her visa has not been approved, and she must return home to Zimbabwe within a very short timeframe. This has come as a shock and has placed her under immense emotional and financial pressure.
My hope is to help Jasmine return home with dignity, and importantly, to ensure she is safely reunited with her family. Returning now allows her the opportunity to reapply again in the future, without facing legal risks that could prevent her from ever returning.
Because of the short notice and sudden loss of income, Jasmine is struggling to cover the immediate costs of flights and essential luggage. Anything she cannot afford to take home will have to be left behind or thrown away, including personal belongings and lifelong memories that hold deep sentimental value.
I am raising funds to support:
- Her flight home
- Additional luggage allowance so she can take her belongings with her
- Basic resettling needs during this incredibly difficult transition
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this link to help us reach others.
Jasmine has given so much of herself to the children, the team and the community. This is a chance to show her that she is not facing this alone. I want her to feel our love, our gratitude, and our support now, and I want her to know that there is hope for her to be welcomed back here again in the future.
Thank you, truly.
Husna
