What do I even say? It’s so hard to type and speak this over and over. He didn’t make it.. the test confirmed brain death. He was an organ donor so they are keeping him on life support until that process is complete 

I am so proud of him for becoming an organ donor, he’s going to save and change so many lives even now. 

 

We could use all the help and support now, this has been the worst week of our lives.

UPDATE (December 8): I am sorry to those of you relying on this page for updates. I have reached out to as many people personally as I can but I have found it hard to write on here what’s going on. They did a scan on his brain to check whether there is blood flowing and the test showed there is not. The doctor sat us all down in a quiet room to tell us the heartbreaking news. They have to get his sodium levels down and give him electrolytes until his levels are proper so they can do a final test to confirm. This may happen tomorrow or Friday. This is not the news we wanted to hear and not the news I wanted to update here. At this time we are discussing as a family the arrangements we plan for him. We are all heartbroken and shocked but staying as strong as we can for Samantha. She had a checkup with her doctor who says the baby is healthy and everything is moving along. We are all so looking forward to meeting little William at the end of this month. We all need support and love right now so please share this anywhere and everywhere you can. Every dollar and every ounce of love you have to spare is appreciated beyond words.

UPDATE (December 5): Jarod is still intubated and has been taken off sedation and pain meds so they can monitor his neuro activity. Samantha has been by his side every minute of visiting hours and My Dad and I take turns sitting with them(they only allow 2 people in at a time) we are all just hoping and praying for a miracle. I know he’s in there fighting I just know it. Please keep all the positive thoughts and prayers coming our way. I will update here whenever there is something to update

UPDATE (December 4): There is no easy way to say this. Sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning Jarod had a massive stroke that left him partially brain damaged. Today has been the hardest day of our lives and we have tried to reach out to as many people as possible to keep them updated. We are holding on to every bit of hope for a miracle to happen. Those of you that know our family know that we don’t ask for help unless we need it. If ever there were a time to ask for help it is right now. Even if you are not financially able to help us, just having your love and support during this time means everything to us. Hi everyone. Most of you know by now that Jarod had a mild stroke Thursday December 2. As of the time I’m writing this (Friday December 3)Jarod is still in the hospital intubated. I set up this account to ask for donations in order to help Jarod and Samantha pay for medical bills and life expenses. Please help however you can. Samantha has had to take off work in order to be by his side and also take care of herself and my soon to be nephew (she is due the end of this month).
