My name is Tiffani Painter. I am trying to help my sweet Momma, Janet Mooney, with the cost of the cremation and services for her late husband, Lee Mooney. They have both had a rough couple of years battling cancer.

Mom was diagnosed with bladder cancer in October of 2022. It has been a long hard fight for her, but she is hanging in there. They have performed multiple surgeries to continue to remove the recurring tumors. They tried one type of chemo.... that failed. They tried an immunotherapy....that also failed. They are letting her bladder rest and then trying a new chemotherapy drug in a couple of weeks.

Lee had a biopsy on September 5th of this year and was diagnosed with stage 4 renal cancer that had spread to his lungs. He started immunotherapy and chemotherapy (twice a day) on November 13th. His health was rapidly declining. On December 17th, I dropped my mom off at the VA hospital in Columbia, Mo to have yet another surgery to remove tumors from her bladder. After I dropped her off, I took Lee to the University Hospital ER across the street. As soon as mom was done with her surgery, I picked her up and took her to be with Lee. He was admitted the same day. His condition continued to decline quickly. We made the decision to withdraw life saving measures and keep him comfortable the morning of December 26th. Shortly before 3 pm the same day, he lost his battle.
