As most of you know I developed heart failure back in 2019. Since then I’ve lived a healthy lifestyle as best I can, moved to Orlando, and took a new job as Guest Service Manager at the Kia Center. At the beginning of the year I started to experience the same symptoms I had a few years ago and was back in the hospital but this time I went from Orlando Health to being transferred to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.

After several procedures and many tests, it was determined that I would need a heart transplant in the future. As of now, I’m doing ok. While I’m not working, I spend a good amount of time with lab tests, cardiologist appointments, and the transplant team at Mayo who determined what the status of my heart is. Yes, I do have my bad days which can be rough but I have been able to maintain a normal routine as much as possible. My family knows my health and has been incredibly supportive every day. The goal for me is to remain as healthy as I can during the transplant evaluation and to be approved for a transplant when my time comes. I felt that today was good to share this with all of you because let’s be honest I need all of the support I can get. I’ve been through tough situations before so I’m ready for this.
