Help Support Jahcire, 8 year old boy, hit by car

Donation protected
On Wednesday, January 29, 2020, 8 year old Jahcire W. was hit by a car while going to get on his school van.  He was taken to Reading Hospital and then airlifted to Hershey Children's Hospital, where he remained on life support for 2 full days.

Thankfully, little by little, he is showing improvement.  At this point he still has not opened his eyes but he is breathing on his own and responding to some physical stimuli.  While it is not yet known the extent of any neurological damage, this is a good sign.

In addition to the brain injury, he sustained a broken nose and fractured orbital socket.  There was a small amount of blood found in his brain and abdomen, but it has been determined that they are no longer active bleeds.

Jahcire is going to have a long recovery.  His mother, Justina, has not left his side.   Justina is a single mother and has 2 other children at home, who are being taken care of by friends and family while she is with Jahcire.

Unfortunately, theirs is a single income household and she does not have any paid time off.  So not only is she out of work, but the bills will continue to pile up as she helps Jahcire to recover.  And that's before the medical bills even begin to come in.

Anything that can be given would be deeply appreciated.  It is not known how long she will be out of work or how much help / recovery / rehab Jahcire will need when he is finally released.
