Help support Jacob on his road to recovery

It's that call no parent ever wants to receive. Our son was in a dirt bike accident. And no, not one of those where he jumps up and says I am okay and shakes it off. This was a life altering accident, where the dirt bike ended up on top of him. The accident has resulted in him intubated, with burns on his stomach, broken ribs, facing 3-4 surgeries and a lengthy recovery and rehabilitation process. There is extensive damage to his back and a chance that he may never walk again. The thought of possibly never getting one of those awesome hugs from Jacob brings me to tears. Direct quote from our son's neurosurgeon. "God is capable of things that humans are not."

Jacob will need help for his hospital stay as well as long term rehabilitation. Our communication has been limited due to the ventilator, however when he has tried to say something, we were able to spell out job. His #1 thing that he was concerned about even after everything that has happened to him, was his 2 employers. He loves both of his jobs and the people that he works with, he considers his extended family. We are so blessed with the love and support we have received from both work families. 

We love Jacob, he is our whole world, our shining star, always smiling, so full of life and adventurous. Since he was a baby, I have always told him that he was the best thing that ever happened to me. Now...he is the best thing that has ever happened to me and Brian.
