Hello everyone - please see below from our cousins who live at Kibbutz Givat Chaim. We’ve had the honor to spend time on the kibbutz and know it is a beautiful and peaceful place and hope that victims of terror can find peace in being there.
To All of our friends and supporters in the United States,
We are reaching out for your help!
Today Kibbutz Givat Chaim is unified and working together to host dozens of vacated residents from Southern and Northern Israel. Currently we have about 150 people who have come to reside with us and the numbers are going up daily. We assume that these guests will be with us for at least ,a month and a half to three months, though this could be extended. We are providing them with housing including all utilities, all meals, formal and informal education, beds, bedding, furniture, Toiletries and more. We have also established cultural events and activities for the children in an effort to diffuse the tension, fear and insecurity they are experiencing. We have recruited 200 volunteers who are looking out for the needs of our guests from morning till night. In addition, we have staff helping them with their social emotional needs.
We estimate that our efforts cost approximately 7000 NIS(about $1700) daily. Our kibbutz is currently supporting this effort on our own. We would appreciate any assistance you can give us to help us continue these efforts. The funds will be used specifically to help support the services being provided to those who’ve needed to relocate to Givat Chaim. After the fundraiser complete we will transfer funds directly to our cousin, shai, who is organizable the efforts at Kibbutz Givat Chaim.
