We’re raising funds for our amazing cousin Ian — a joyful, vibrant young man who brings light and laughter wherever he goes. Ian is the kind of person who always puts others first. His heart is big, his spirit is generous, and he’s constantly thinking of how to support those around him.

A true Mainer, Ian has spent his whole life exploring the beauty of the outdoors. He’s incredibly active, with a deep love for skiing, hiking, and being outside in the fresh air. Whether it’s climbing a mountain or just hanging out by the water, he’s always enjoying the great outdoors.

Unfortunately, during a recent family gathering, Ian suffered a serious injury from a swimming accident that resulted in a fractured neck and injuring C6, C7, T1, T4.  What followed was an ambulance ride, a hospital stay, and the beginning of what will be several months of recovery, including ongoing specialist visits and physical therapy.

Ian has a strong support system and a loving family rallying around him — but unfortunately, he doesn’t have the medical insurance coverage he needs to handle these mounting expenses. He is in a full upper body brace to restrict his mobility for the next three months, as an electrician this means he will be unable to do his job. Being out of work during this recovery period adds even more pressure to an already difficult time.

That’s why we’re asking for help. Any amount you can contribute — no matter how big or small — will go directly toward Ian’s medical bills and recovery needs. Every donation makes a difference and brings relief to someone who has always shown up for others with a full heart.
