Help Support Ian Drummond (Scouse) A Former Royal Marine – in His Fight Against MND.
Our incredible friend Ian, a proud former Royal Marine, has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) — a progressive and life-limiting neurological condition that affects the nerves controlling muscles, gradually taking away mobility, speech, and independence.
Despite the physical toll, Ian is facing each day with the same strength, resilience, and quiet courage that defined his military service which is shining through whilst he faces this devastating diagnosis.
Over the past year, Ian’s condition has sadly progressed, and he is now wheelchair-bound and facing a battle of a very different kind.
Ian now needs significant support - carers to provide personal care, specialist medical equipment, mobility aids, and home adaptations which is not covered by insurance where he now lives in the U.S.
His wife, Amy, is working full-time while also being his primary support at home — juggling caregiving with work and everything in between. This fundraiser will help ease that burden and allow Ian to live with dignity and comfort.
We are asking for your help — whether it’s through a donation or by sharing this page. Every contribution will directly support Ian’s care, mobility, and ability to live life to the fullest in the time he has. Thank you for taking the time to read Ian, Amy, and their son Owen story during this incredibly tough journey.
