Help Support Hot Dog Vendor Hurt By Hate Crime

At a very sensitive political time for street  vendors, yet again another hate crime has reached our community. This hardworking woman Linda and daughter Jennifer have been harassed multiple times by these business owners of Beach street pizza and The falafel hut across the street from them next to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk , being judged/ called illegal multiple times, badgering them to see their permit to sell (Which they have)and even going as far as bringing fake documents to their stand trying to threaten them to leave their location and spitting in their hot dogs. The scene in the pictures where two of their hot dog stands are on the ground is after all these altercations and there’s video footage of the MAN from beach street pizza (apologies this man is actually owner of The falafel house however the beach street pizza woman owner has been apart of verbally harassment continuously as well) getting aggressive and pushing the  WOMAN vendor after the harassment. An estimated 600$ + value loss from food being tampered with, not only something horrible to deal with in this covid time , but this case simply cannot be ignored due to the constant harassment these hard working people dealt with to make an honest living and the fact that the police was involved after this event and nothing was put in place to secure their safety from this public harassment ever happening again . A reporter that spoke with the daughter Jennifer let us know that they did not even worry as much for their loss in sales but just Wanted to get the word out on these hateful businesses and for people to possibly boycott them, We as a community however teamed up to make this go fund me for them  to support their loss and prove to anyone threatening a group of honest workers , that we will come out to support and defend a genuine honest business ONLY.
*We've met with linda a day after this fund was created and have been in direct contact with her this entire time of the fund being open, we plan on sending a beneficiary link to linda so that she can receive the funds directly, this fund started with a goal at 1,500$ to recover loss product from the day of this hate crime and as the video kept being shared we kept increasing the goal to help linda save for a safe compliant cart for her vending business. 
We've all receive alot of backlash for the intentions of this fund so we made sure we took the time to have all factors confirmed involved with this case and that has taken weeks of work, as well as the factor of busy schedules of both the beneficiary and the community member who opened this account. The responsibility with this account is our highest priority, as well as the safety of Linda and is the reasoning why we waited to update and paused the account until we had all our information approved to be spoken on by linda.
 Updates will be posted and be as transparent as possible as soon as the fund closes.

En un momento político muy delicado para los vendedores hispanos, una vez más, otro crimen de odio ha llegado a nuestra comunidad. Esta mujer trabajadora y su hija Jennifer han sido victimas varias veces por estos dueños de negocios de Beach street pizza y The falafel hut al otro lado de la calle, al lado del paseo boardwalk de Santa cruz, siendo juzgadas / llamadas ilegales varias veces, pidiéndoles que vean su permiso (que tienen)para vender e incluso ir tan lejos como llevar documentos falsos a su puesto tratando de amenazarlas a abandonar su ubicación y escupir en sus hot dogs. La escena en las imágenes donde dos de sus puestos de perritos calientes están en el suelo es después de todas estas altercaciones hay imágenes de video del HOMBRE Manejador de negocio The Falafel house que se vuelve agresivo y empuja a la vendedor la MUJER después del acoso ,e incluso la manejador de Beach Street Pizza tambien a verbalmente amenazado a Linda y cualquier vendedor en la calle que no deberían estan vendiendo ahí constantemente .estima que una pérdida de valor de más de $ 600 por la manipulación de los alimentos, no solo es algo horrible de tratar en este momento crítico, sino que este caso simplemente no se puede ignorar debido al hostigamiento constante con el que estas personas trabajadoras tuvieron que sufrir para ganarse la vida honestamente y el hecho de que la policía estuvo involucrada después de este evento y no se implementó nada para garantizar su seguridad contra este acoso público que nunca deveria a suceder. Un periodista que habló con la hija Jennifer nos hizo saber que ni siquiera se preocuparon tanto por su pérdida de ventas, sino que solo querían correr la voz sobre estos odiosos negocios y que la gente posiblemente los haga boycott. Sin embargo, como comunidad nos unimos para hacer que esto vaya a apoyar para que apoyen su pérdida y demuestren a cualquiera que amenace a un grupo de trabajadores honestos, que saldremos a apoyar y defender un negocio genuino y honesto SOLAMENTE.
