Hi! I am Hollie Muse and I am asking for your help in pursuing my dream of being on the LPGA tour, as well as helping young people appreciate the lessons the game of golf teaches you, and the joy of the game itself. (Scroll down for updates).
At 18, I triumphed over Paula Creamer in a playoff and earned a spot in the British Open. Originally from Great Britain, I moved to the US as a teenager to play collegiate golf at the prestigious University of Arizona. However, my journey took a difficult turn when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, prompting my return to the UK. Despite these challenges, I came back to the US, transferring to East Tennessee State, where I finished my collegiate golf career and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Encouraged by my mother, I aspired to pursue a golf career in the US, leading me to Reynolds, where I worked as an intern at Oconee for $12/hour while waiting for a new visa. With the new visa obtained, I was promoted to assistant Pro at the Oconee Golf Course. I have taken on various jobs to make ends meet. Two years ago, I made it through Level 1 of Q School (less than 2% of first time players do); but with my mum's illness and the fact that she died that fall, it really affected me. She was my best friend and supported me through everything. Although the LPGA granted me status based on my performance, I struggle to enter tournaments due to my lower status, necessitating the need to repeat all levels of Q school. Last year was really tough. But now, I am back...and better than ever.
My goal is to raise $20,000 to help me achieve my dream. I know it is a lot to ask of everyone, but I am working very hard to make it happen. I often stop practicing around 11PM, after working at my full-time job. Please consider making a donation. I regularly am shooting in the 60s and already have 14 hole-in-ones!
ANY amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support. I won't let you down!
I will pay it forward.
