Help support Hollan's Cancer Treatment

Long story, short-- In December 2023 Hollan was diagnosed with Small Cell Carcinoma of the Ovary Hypocalcemic Type (SCCOHT), an extremely rare and aggressive ovarian cancer. Due to the rareness of this type of cancer, most doctors have not/will not ever treat it. We were lucky to find Dr. Joseph Pressey, who specializes in SCCOHT at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Ohio. Hollan's wonderful team of doctors at UAB have been collaborating with Dr. Pressey and have been combining treatment regimens that UAB has never done before. Hollan will be the reason many women who are also affected by this horrible cancer will have access to this treatment regimen at UAB.

Due to this collaboration, the most significant parts of Hollan's aggressive treatment will be done in Cincinnati and we will have to temporarily relocate to ensure the highest quality of care.

As you can imagine, the cost of lodging and travel will be a huge cost for Hollan and our family. Hollan has also experienced serious hearing loss from one of her chemotherapy drugs which has significantly impacted her hearing and she will be getting custom hearing aids.

Cancer may think it's tough, but it's got nothing on the power of love and friendship, right? We are not ones to ask for help often, but this time, we are waving the white flag and calling in the cavalry. Your generosity can help ease the financial impact that comes with cancer and help support Hollan as she continues to kick cancer's butt and defy gravity.
